This festival takes its name from the jaguar, a sacred symbol in the Maya worldview, protector of the jungle and guardian of ancestral secrets. For four days, the festival invites local, national, and international visitors to connect with nature, art, and the traditions of the indigenous peoples.

🎨 Art, culture and tradition

In the magical town of Lacanjá Chansayab, home of the Lacandon community, a collective exhibition of photography, painting, gastronomy, and Lacandon handicrafts will take place. Here you can admire the talent of local and national artists, acquire unique handmade pieces, and get to know up close the ancestral techniques that are still kept alive.
